CapCHI Statement on Anti-Racism

CapCHI Statement on Anti-Racism

This past week we have witnessed the impact of racism. Racism is dehumanizing to everyone, especially the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) community. UX is founded on human-centred principles. As UX professionals, we therefore have a responsibility to identify systems that negatively impact the people our work is intended for. As a community of UX designers, researchers, engineers and educators, we must be committed to fighting prejudice, and working together to eliminate racism. CapCHI is committed to being an organization where everyone is respected and belongs.
